Hubbali: An explosion has been reported from the Hubballi Railway Station on Monday, October 21. The cause is said to be an unattended box, bearing the name of Khanapur MLA Anjali Nimbalkar that was left by unidentified miscreant on one of the platforms.
The hand of a person, who is yet to be identified, was blown off in the blast.
According to reports, when the as-yet-unidentified person attempted to open the box exploded, his hand was blown off in the process.
The severely injured person was immediately rushed to KIMS Hospital.
According to sources in the police department, witnesses stated that the box was placed on one of the platforms and bore the name of MLA Anjali Nimbalkar.
Police have sent samples of the box’s remains to the forensic laboratory to get more information about its exact contents.
