New Delhi: As the level of inactivity is reaching the alarming stage, the WHO (World Health Organization) issues a warning to humans worldwide. According to the analysis of BBC on the reports of WHO, the inactive rates have not improved since 2001. Over a billion people are found lacking in physical activities.
Inculcating such a practice can lead to a development of type-2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease and also life extruder disease called cancer. Such a trend is usually found in the high income countries like the United Kingdom and the United States. The reports have it that women are found to be more in number when it comes to inactivity than men. However, the numbers stand stable when it comes to the low income countries.
Around 40 percent of women are found inactive and 32 percent are men in the UK. The only way to reduce this stigma is to walk and use public transport, rather lead a luxurious and exuberant lifestyle.
The WHO has aimed at achieving the target of reducing the inactive rates by 10 percent by 2025.
