If you think by consuming sweetened food items, tooth cavities and diabetes are the only ones to trouble you, then you are off guard. Sweet inclusion can cause blood pressure, cholesterol and heart related ailments too.

The doctors have cautioned about the ‘Over the limit’ sweet consumption. Yes, it’s an inseparable bond for the ones who need it at any cost, but the consumption of ice creams, chocolates and fruits salads, which are added with sweetening agents can cost you your life. It is observed that such an intake will produce an excess amount of toxins in ones body.

The nutrition experts say that excess amounts of sugar content will decrease the immunity and also lead to the development of acne and pimples.

Fruits and vegetables usually contain sugar in them, but the products available in the market like fruit juices, eateries and chocolates infuse artificial sweeteners. There is a difference between artificial sweetening and natural sweetness. Consumption of honey and jaggery is said to be healthy.

People go for the sweeteners available in the market rather than inculcating the habit of using honey and jaggery. According to the body conditions, an individual is said to consume sufficient amount of sugar. This is acceptable. But the tendency is to consume more than the required. The WHO (World Health Organization) states that in a day, males must consume 9 teaspoons of sugar and females 6 teaspoons.

The nutrition experts have also cautioned to have a control over the sugar and sweet consumption and restrain from becoming a ‘Sugar Addict.’
