Shravanabelagola: The Hassan district administration is all set to provide a 3-D view of Shravanabelagola to the tourists who visit the place during Mahamasthakabhisheka.
Recently, a mobile app was developed to watch the Gommateshwara Masthakabhisheka or the anointment ritual and other activities surrounding the statue, and now the administration has planned a facility to view an art gallery with the help of special 3-D glasses.
The art gallery will have unique pictures captured by a well-known photography association of Bengaluru using 3-D camera. They will include smile of Bahubali, various occasions of Masthakabhisheka, Vindhyagiri, the beauty of Chandragiri hill, 14 Basadis of Chikkabetta, Tyagasthamba, Manasthamba, murals of Jain mutt, Goddess Kushmandini, Gajalaxmi, Chikkadevaraja Wadeyar Kalyani, Gullakayajji, miracles of Lalitha lake will be shown through various technologies.
“The history and tradition of the Jain Kashi which spreads the message of peace will be highlighted in the 3-D photography exhibition- ‘Shravanabelagola in 3-D’. It is a great opportunity for the devotees and tourists to enjoy the beauty of the place. Around100 photos have been captured and the estimated cost is Rs.6 lakh,” Masthakabhisheka Mahotsava Special Officer B N Varaprasad Reddy said.
“A request has been submitted to the administrative board of the mutt to donate a piece of land to construct a special art gallery in memory of Mahotsava. It would help to introduce the history of Shravanabelagola to the tourists,” he added.
