Hassan: Soon after the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) upheld state government’s transfer order, Rohini Sindhuri who was serving as the Deputy Commissioner of Hassan district was transferred to Bengaluru to the post of Commissioner of Employment and Training. D Randeep, who was without any post for 37 days, has assumed the charge as the new Deputy Commissioner of Hassan District on April 17.

It may be recalled that on the evening of March 7, IAS officer D Randeep had received his transfer order from the state government which stated that he was transferred to Hassan as Deputy Commissioner. At the same time, Rohini Sindhuri who was the Deputy Commissioner of Hassan was transferred to Bengaluru as Commissioner of Department of Employment and Training. As Rohini had secured a stay order on the transfer order, Randeep could not assume his duties and was staying in Mysuru without any posting for over a month.

CAT bench, which was hearing the dispute between the state government and Rohini, upheld the state government’s transfer order.

Speaking to Newskarnataka, D Randeep said, “On Tuesday, there was hearing in CAT, where I was also present. As per decision of the CAT, I straight away went to Hassan from Bengaluru to take charge as the Deputy Commissioner. My first priority will be to conduct free and fair elections. I will look into other issues related to districts later.”
