Channarayapattana: Bharatiya Janata Party Hassan Lok Sabha constituency candidate A Manju has opined, here on Sunday, May 12, that the Congress and Janata Dal (S) candidate Prajwal Revanna would be facing legal consequences, based on the assets information submitted to the Returning Officer.
Speaking to the media, he said that Prajwal had submitted false documents to the Returning Officer about his assets.
Manju said, “A complaint has already been filed regarding this. Once that is confirmed officially, then Prajwal will be barred for six years from contesting any elections, and that the decision whether to take a call on it or not is in the court of the Election Commission.”
He said that similar case had happened few years ago in the Chamarajanagar constituency where a candidate was barred from contesting the elections due to a false document filed with the Returning Officer
Meanwhile, Manju has slammed Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy for having a resting period at a resort in Kodagu, while the state was facing acute water crisis.
