Hassan: Nearly 20 persons, mostly women sustained injuries after a mini-tempo, they were travelling in turned turtle at Markuli village in the taluk on Thursday.
Reportedly, the incident occurred when the tempo driver, Shashikanth lost control of the vehicle while trying to avoid a collision with a motorbike coming from opposite direction.
The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. It is gathered that the tempo was ferrying the women to a garment factory, where they are employed as workers when the accident took place.
Police visited the spot and registered a case.
