Hassan: Belur taluk MLA Y N Rudresh Gowda, of the Congress party passed away today, March 24, after he was admitted to Vikram Hospital, Bengaluru after with breathing problems and multi-organ failure. He was 63-years-old.
He was undergoing treatment in the hospital’s ICU ward when he breathed his last.
His mortal remains will be taken to Hassan in the evening at around 4 pm where his body will be kept at the KPCC office for public viewing.
Gowda is survived by a wife M N Keerthana and daughter.
Owing to his hospitalisation, Gowda was unable to vote in the Rajya Sabha elections held on Friday, March 23. While in the hospital, he was visited by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
The MLA was on his way to Bengaluru for the Rajya Sabha elections when he suffered a heart attack and was immediately rushed to the Vikram Hospital where he breathed his last today.
