Hassan/Bengaluru: The State Election Commission dismissed the complaint made by Animal Husbandry Minister Manju against Hassan Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri, terming the allegations levelled by the minister as baseless charges
In a 6-page letter written to the Chief Electoral Officer Sanjeev Kumar Jha, on April 7, Manju had alleged that the DC had filed an FIR against him without any reason. He alleged that her statements were affecting his dignity and image and demanded her transfer from the district.
It may be recalled that the DC had slapped an FIR against the minister based on the allegations of signing 1,093 files of Bagair Hukum cultivators of Arakalagudu region to grant their land even after the declaration of Assembly election dates, thus violating the model code of conduct.
The CEO had directed the Mysore Divisional Commissioner to carry out an investigation into minister Manju’s complaint and submit a report. The report, however, said that the allegations made by the minister are baseless, Sanjeev Kumar informed.
