Hassan: In a huge embarrassment to the ruling JDS-Congress alliance, IT officials raided the PWD district office in Hassan, the home town of PWD minister H D Revanna, and seized a few important documents. The raids continued on the houses of several PWD engineers across the district.
According to sources, a team of nine IT officers raided the PWD office in Hassan city and seized a few documents. Later, they raided the residences of PWD engineers across the district. The raids are still in progress.
If sources in the JDS are to be believed, the party is expected to call for a state-wide protest on Friday, against the IT raids.
Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, who is in Mysuru, is expected to make an announcement in this regard.
Senior JDS leaders from Hassan and Mandya are rushing to Mysuru to hold a discussion on the IT raids.
