Piriyapatna: In a government high school which comes under Mattur gram panchayat limits in Lingapura, students themselves are asked to clean the toilets by teachers before attending classes.
In the school classes are held from 1 to 7th standard for 87 students. Most of the students belong to girijan and backward class including minorities.
When Newskarnataka asked the students about it they said they have been divided into groups and cleaning the premises is compulsory. They also complained that dal, rice, wheat and other ingredients used for mid-day meals is of low quality. Many a times students fall ill because of poor quality of food.
There is no headmaster in the school which is also a reason for all these irregularities and issues. The school lacks all basic facilities. students are forced to do other work too along with studies like keeping the premises clean.
So the concerned persons must look into the matter and resolve the issues at the earliest.
