Hassan: Close on the heels of Hassan district securing first place in SSLC examination, Minister for PWD HD Revanna kicked started a slugfest to claim credit for the success.
Completely sidelining the efforts put in by Deputy Commissioner Priyanka Mary Francis, Revanna has openly praised and lauded his wife and Zilla Panchayat Standing committee for Education Bhavani Revanna for the rank that the district managed to get.
In an interview, Revanna said that the DC has not done anything to walk away with the credit. He also taunted the DC saying that the teachers had shunned her away when she tried to conduct examinations for them to assess their ability.
“It is the efforts of Bhavani that has yielded results,” he said.
However, sources say that Priyanka Mary FrancisPriyanka Mary Francis too had worked relentlessly to make sure that the district performs better. “The DC had brought in a bunch of reforms and she had also held “Thayi Sabhe” to motivate the parents to ensure that their children are putting in enough efforts, ” said sources.
Ironically, the minister had also said that DK district, the best performing district of the state suffer this time in SSLC result because the district voted for the BJP.
