Hasan: The death of a BSF personnel from Hasan posted in Firozpur in Punjab has been billed off as a suicide case.
The dead body of the soldier has reached his native village Holenarasipura and last rites of G S Prasanna Kumar were performed with all honours. The BSF has clarified that Prasanna Kumar had ended life by hanging himself. It may be recalled that the reason behind the death was no clear.
Prasanna was serving in 105 BNBSF Battalion at Ferozpur and on March 27, he had reached the parade ground, but had hanged himself to a tree in the vicinity in uniform. The reason behind his death has not been ascertained.
His family members say that Prasanna had said that he would take leave and return home on March 27 and that he was excited about the house warming ceremony he said he would organise once he was back. But, all his plans were shattered when he was denied leave, it is said.
