Former MLA of JDS H S Prakash passes away

Hassan: A Janata Dal (S) leader who has won the Assembly elections for four times, H S Prakash (67) passed away, due to cardiac arrest in Bengaluru’s BJS Hospital on Tuesday, November 27.

According to the sources he had recently undergone a liver transplant surgery

He is survived by two sons and wife.

Hassan Sannaiah Prakash, who was called as H S Prakash, was elected for the first time to Assembly in 1994 from the Janata Dal Party but was defeated once in the year 1999.

Later, he won three consecutive Assembly elections in the year 2004, 2008, and 2013.

In the recent Assembly elections of 2018, he had lost against the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Preetam Gowda.

He was suffering from kidney and liver related ailments.

He had kidney and liver transplants five years ago.

Recently, he had developed some health complications and died due to multi-organ failure.

JDS Supremo and former prime minister H D Deve Gowda has condoled the death of Prakash.
