Hassan: A video featuring PWD minister H D Revanna flinging biscuits at flood victims in Ramanathapura of the district went viral on the social media evoking widespread criticism. It embarrassed the state government forcing the chief minister HD Kumaraswamy to issue a clarification. But now minister himself has justified his action by comparing it to the act of throwing the food parcels from the helicopters at the flood victims.
Speaking to the reporter, he stated that at the time of flood furry, food parcels are thrown from the helicopters. It is not wrong. “Similarly I also threw. People will decide what is right and what is wrong,” he said.
“On the day of the incident, when I reached the Ramanathapura flood relief centre, kids cried seeking biscuit packs. So I threw it. I wonder if this was a big mistake, ” he said.
