Hassan: The students of MCE College staged protest here on Monday November 11, urging the college authorities to refund their admission fees.
The protesters alleged that they are not being refunded of their admission fees owing to the delay of Malnad Technical Board in forwarding their applications to the state government.
The protesters informed that students of other colleges across the district have got their refunds in February, while MCE College students are yet to get their refunds of 3 years. They have availed bank loans for their studies and if they dont repay on time, they will be liable to pay penalties, informed the protesters.
The students engaged in heated arguments with the college governing council and principal for a while.A total of 1,500 students are yet to get their refunds.
The students B R Dixit, Anwik, G Ullas, Sachin, Anu and Ganesh led the protest on the occasion.
