Hassan: The history Chennakeshava Temple of Belur has been put on high-alert after the a Pakistan-based terrorist organisation allegedly issued threats.
The Intelligence Bureau (IB) has directed the temple committee to take steps to intensify the security in and around the temple.
The temple management has brought the issue to the notice of the district authorities and Superintendent of Police RK Shapurwad, seeking more security.
With no metal detectors at the entrance, the 900-year-old Channakeshava temple lacks proper security arrangements.
