Kalaburgi: In a shocking incident, a two-year-old child from Kalaburgi has been tested positive for Coronavirus, on Sunday, April 12. The child is one of the 17 positive cases confirmed on Sunday.
Confirming the same, former minister for tourism, Priyank Kharge tweeted: “A 2 year old has been identified as Corona +ve in Chittapur.”
Adding that he had a conversation with the taluk officials via video conferencing, Kharge added in the tweet that all precautionary and preventive measures are being taken to ensure the infection doesn’t spread.
“Had a video conference with taluk officials & we are taking precautionary & preventive measures to ensure the infection doesn’t spread by sealing off the area & will be checking for more people who might be infected” the tweet read.
In yet another tweet, he said: “I have personally spoken to all councillors & local leaders & sought their cooperation in enforcing a complete seal off. We will also ensure that essential materials will be made available locally or at homes.”
The Congress leader has requested all citizes to follow the rules that have been laid down to ensure safety and safety of all.
“The family has no travel history past 2 months, hence the all primary & secondary contacts will be tested,” tweet added.
