Kalburgi: Despite a strict rule prohibiting physical assault of students, two teachers have gone to the extent of reckless beating up students using pipes here on Tuesday, December 4.
The incident took place in the Nagavi Morarji Desai Residential School of Chittapur taluk.
The teachers took the extreme step to punish the students after they were found quarreling with each other. As a result of the brutality, the students had swollen wounds on their bodies.
A teacher even behaved rudely with the parents in front of the school principal when the latter had approached the school administration regarding the assault.
It is also reported that one of the teachers had come forward to hit a student right in front of parents and school administration.
Although the other teachers, principal, and school administration apologised for the rude behavior, the parents have demanded the suspension of those two teachers.
