Time for govt to listen to students, citizens: Ex-IAS Sasikanth Senthil

Kalaburagi: Former IAS officer Sasikanth Senthil has warned the Central Government of a massive revolution if it strives to silence he students of the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).

Speaking to reporters in Kalaburagi, Senthil said that if the Government tries to silence JNU, thousands of JNUs will come up in the country.

“The faulty decisions of the Government has made the people of the nation voluntarily come out on the streets. It is time that the government listens to what the students and citizens have to say. Dejected by the kind of response the faulty decisions have created, the Government is now trying to silence the resent with force and bullets,” he said adding that this mindset of the Government is dangerous.

Speaking about the CAA, NRP and NCR, Senthil said that it is a lie that nobody’s citizenship will be snatched away.

“Not only the Muslims, but each and every citizen of the country will have to prove his nationality,” said Senthil, clarifying that he nurtures no political aspirations.
