Raichur: Six persons died in road accidents that took place in Vijayapura and Raichur on Friday. In Vijayapura, four persons were killed in two accidents, that occurred in Sindagi taluk.
In the first accident, two persons who were riding on a motorcycle died when their vehicle collided with a bus.
They have been identified as Ismail Turabkhan (18) and Zuber Gadag (22).
While the former died on the spot, the latter died on the way to the district government hospital.
In the other accident, a car collided with a dilapidated bus shelter on National Highway 218 near Chikkasindagi. The driver Mohsin Bhairamadagi (21), died on the spot and Rafiq Korbu (33) died on the way to a hospital.
Two others have been injured and have been admitted to the government hospital in a critical condition.
