Sedam: Refuting former Chief Secretary (CS) Rathna Prabha’s claims that she was denied the post of CS in 2014 because she is a Dalit, Priyank Kharge stated that she was given the highest post considering her service and seniority.
Speaking to the media, Kharge said that the appointment of Chief Secretary is left to the discretion of the Chief Minister. He also said that it should be recalled that she was allowed to continue in the service even after her retirement.
“Rathna Prabha has accused the government of being anti-Dalit, however, I will not comment on this now. But if she continues to make these accusations, we will be forced to reveal certain things,” he warned.
