Kalaburagi: In an embarrassment to the party, an BJP leader was caught bribing voters with huge amount of cash ahead of MLC polls on December 26.
BJP leader Revu Naik Belamagi was caught bribing voters in favour of BJP candidate BG Patil of Kalaburagi.
The leader was seen offering Rs 20,000 cash to voters in a sting operation carried by a news channel(News9).
A sum of Rs 20000 was kept in envelopes to be distributed to each voter.
Former Law minister Suresh Kumar while reacting to the controversy said that no leader can lure voters and action must be taken against the leaders whichever party they belong to.
