Kalaburugi: Senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge broke his silence on his defeat in the Kalaburugi Lok Sabha constituency during the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections. He alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah had started laying the groundwork for his defeat two years ago.
Speaking to reporters in the city, he alleged that Modi and Shah did not like him being in the Lok Sabha and claimed that they wanted to defeat him and started preparations for the same two years ago.
“The BJP leaders used unparliamentary strategies against me. They divided the people along caste lines and spread misinformation,” he alleged.
He also expressed confidence that he will bounce back.
