Kalaburgi: The Bharatiya Janata Party State President B S Yeddyurappa has opined, here on Wednesday, April 17, that the Lingayat separate religion issue would not pay off for the Congress party in the Lok Sabha elections.

Speaking to the media, he said that the Congress party in 2018 Assembly elections had used the Lingayat separation as the a means for its of selfish ends and that it would not work in the Lok Sabha polls.

“There is no need for investigation in the forgery case pertaining to the letter written by State Home Minister M B Patil to the President of Indian National Congress (INC) Sonia Gandhi as it is evident that it was he only who wrote it”, he alleged.

“It is nothing but a conspiracy by the Congress to divide the Hindu religion and this is very meticulously observed by the people. They will teach them a lesson this time in the Lok Sabha elections and every conspiracy they made, will come to light”, he added.

Meanwhile, BSY opined that in the first phase of the election in the state on April 18, BJP would win 11 seats out of 14.
