Kalaburgi: State Public Works Department Minister H D Revanna had become talk of the town after he was caught on camera with dozens of lemons in his hands at a public address in Hassan for his son and Congress-Janata Dal (S) coalition candidate Prajwal Revanna, which he claimed, was to ward off “evil forces” from him. But now, former chief minister and Chairman of Government-alliance Coordination Committee Siddaramaiah too is in limelight for lemons!
Siddaramaiah, who was on his visit to the district on Wednesday, April 17, to campaign for Gulbarga Lok Sabha constituency Congress candidate Mallikarjun Kharge, had arrived in a helicopter. As soon as he got down from it, the media personnel rushed towards him. At this point of time, they spotted him with a lemon in hand.
They quipped, “We have seen Revanna with lemons. Has he influenced you too?”
He replied, “I do not believe in all these things. It was just given to me by someone.”
He later asked one of the reporters if he wanted it and dropped it in his pocket.
