Kalaburagi: In a rather ugly incident, a husband burnt alive his wife for having served him oily food, here in Nelogi village of Jewargi taluk.
With over 50 per cent burn injuries, the victim, 22-year-old Priyanka continues to be in a critical state at the Basaveshwara Hospital where she has been admitted. Her husband Bheemashankar Narasakki has been arrested by the cops.
As per reports, an irked Bheemashankar retorted by throwing hot oil on his wife’s face for serving him oily food. However, not be satiated with this act, he further went on to pour kerosene on her and set her ablaze.
It is gathered that Bheemashankar used to often assault Priyanka since the time of their marriage around three years ago. The couple have an 18-month-old child who has been entrusted to the care of relatives.
