‘Vampire killer’ who drank classmate’s blood arrested for impersonating doctor-1Moscow: In what could sound like a story of a thriller drama, a Russian man, who had spent 10 years in a psychiatric facility for killing his classmate and drinking his blood, was arrested on Friday for using fake documents to work as a doctor at a hospital in the Urals city of Chelyabinsk.

The 36-year-old man, identified as Boris Kondrashin was charged with faking documents to get a job at the hospital in November last year, PTI reported quoting local news report.

Investigators said Kondrashin was working as a doctor despite facing a compulsory medical treatment in 2000 “after committing an especially serious crime”.

In 1998, Kondrashin, who was a teenager then, sedated his 16-year-old school classmate, cut up his body and drank his blood, PTI quoted Russian media.

According to a Russian news site Kondrashin “considered himself to be a vampire”.

In 2000, he was confined to a psychiatric hospital after being diagnosed with homicidal schizophrenia for a decade as per local media.

Kondrashin was reportedly working as a primary care doctor at Chelyabinsk’s City Hospital No. 11 where he used to encourage people to quit smoking and drinking.

Kondrashin’s sister asserted that her brother only had high school education and that she and her mother were not aware of his job.
