It is 2019 and the technological advancement is at an all-time high. Technology is nowadays doing things that we never thought would be possible. Mr Ben Hsu from Taiwan would totally agree with us.
Ben Hsu accidentally swallowed one of his Apple AirPods while he was sleeping. And guess what, he pooped them out the next day and was ecstatic to find out that the AirPods were still working. We are still wondering, why he put that AirPod back in his ear?
Though Apple has never made any announcement that AirPods are waterproof and they have always maintained that the AirPods should be kept away from any liquids, but we guess this is good news for the users of the wire-free headsets.
Hsu says, he slept with his AirPods still in his ears. When he woke up, he could only find one. After using the, ‘Find my AirPod’ app in an attempt to track his missing device, the app showed that it was in his room.
In an interview to local news, Hsu said, “The map showed that my AirPod was at home, and I could hear the beep-beep’ sound, which seemed to follow me around the room.”
He added, “But I checked under my blanket and looked around but couldn’t find it – then I realised the sound was coming from my stomach! I swallowed my AirPod.”
Though Ben was not in any kind of pain, he was taken to the nearby hospital where after an X-ray, it was confirmed that the device was in his stomach. Ben was given laxatives and was told to monitor his poop.
And the laxatives did their magic and the AirPod came out in his poop the next day. The battery was still at 41 per cent. This is just bizarre.
