Indian Navy Officer Does Push-ups And Shouts Wife’s Name During Wedding Ceremony

navy weddingIf your Saturday is going bad, here’s a heartwarming video of an Indian Naval Officer getting married in Kerala to cheer you up!

What’s so special about the video, you ask? The pure, unadulterated fun everyone’s having.

The video that was shared on Twitter by veteran Sandy Thapar was captioned, ‘Course mates and colleagues having fun on your wedding.’ The video shared by him was the second part of the original video, and the first half is equally adorable.

In the video, we can hear the officers introducing the married couple to the world. The video starts with an officer loudly shouting, ‘Ladies and gentlemen, we present to you Lieutenant and Elena Vargis.’]

After which the couple gets a traditional navy salute from the batchmates. The couple also had an arch of sabres ceremony. ‘Arch of Sabers Ceremony’ is a wedding tradition in which swords (sabres) are used to salute a newly married couple.

The bride and groom pass under the swords when exiting the church or building in which the ceremony took place. Watch the video here to understand exactly what it is:

In this wedding, to pass from underneath swords, the groom had to do the task given to him. The first task given to him was 20 high jumps and the second command was to hug the bride and dance with her. The third order was to do 10 push-ups and every time he came up, he was asked to shout ‘I love you, Elena’.

And in the third round, he definitely took the cake. The video also shows the expressions of the bride, which is actually one of the best parts of the video. She cannot help but blush.

The next command was to kiss her bride to which the officer happily said yes and the final command was to carry her bride in his arms and everybody in the background could be heard hooting and shouting in excitement.

This is so exciting, isn’t it?
