Chennai: Congress president Rahul Gandhi was trolled on Twitter for his speech at Chennai’s Stella Maris College. While responding to a student’s question on what he learnt from his mother, Gandhi said, “Don’t look at the world from your perspective. Look at the world from your perspective.” Twitter responded to Gandhi’s statement with hilarious memes and comments.

“What does he want to say?” asked one of the persons on Twitter. “Kya bol rahey ho bhai? Please don’t wake up in the mornings at night. This is what will happen. Aapko khud pata nahi aap Kya bol rahey ho-ye students Kya samjengey.Wake up from your slumber. How long should we bear this,” said another in reference to an earlier speech of Gandhi which had created similar buzz on social media.

Gandhi was in Chennai’s Stella Maris College where he interacted with the students and faculty of the institute. During the interaction, a girl named Leona asked Gandhi what was the special quality he imbibed from his mother. “Humility,” Gandhi said adding, “that no matter how powerful a person is, how weak a person is, they always have a unique way of looking at the world. So one must respect that opinion and try to understand where that person is coming from. So when you are talking to someone, one must look at the world, not from your position. But look at the world from your position.”

Earlier, Gandhi also reiterated his comments on PM Narendra Modi and attacked the government over Rafale. “I genuinely love PM Narendra Modi,” he said in yet another comment that drew laughter from the audience.
