Failing in basic courses is not the end of the world. Every individual is bestowed with unique skills or abilities and all they need is the right trigger or platform to express. This is precisely what the Mangalore Institute of Fire and Safety Engineering (MIFSE) is doing for the youth dejected due to failure in SSLC and PUC and also many more. Established by Ando Paul on 3 March 2007 and recognised by the government of Karnataka for the course on Fire and Safety, the institution has reached great heights framing the future of several youths. Started with an intention to provide education to the youth who are deprived of higher education, now MIFSE has completed 10 successful years and has expanded its branches in 16 locations including Karnataka and Maharashtra.
For those who believe “Nothing is impossible,” Ando Paul, Chairman, MIFSE is the finest epitome of success. If the work is done with immense dedication, commitment and hard work, one achieves the impossible. Speaking to Newskarnataka, Ando Paul said, “Normally when underprivileged youth fail in SSLC and PUC they are deprived of the higher education because of the failure of the system. Hence aiming to provide a better future to such youths, Mangalore Institute of Fire and Safety Engineering was started. Along with providing safety course, the institution also motivates the students to build their career. The role of a safety officer is to observe, identify and nullify the unsafe conditions. Safety officer’s is a white collared job and he plays an important role in industries and companies in averting the tragedy. This is a position wherein the safety officer can directly approach the management on the lapses.”
Technology based learning
The institution is also providing technology based education to its students which is more effective than a routine classroom fair. Students also use interactive apps for their studies. MIFSE is introducing tablets for the students to make learning more effective using modern technology. Such tabs will be loaded with videos of Fire Technology and Design, Construction Safety and Industrial Safety. The videos are recorded by the subject experts.
Practical Training
MIFSC institution believes that incorporating practical skills in the curriculum will help students better than merely taking them through theory and make them understand the work conditions. The practical training will be a combination of theoretical knowledge as well as on-job situations.
Why study safety courses?
Safety courses will churn out the students into safety professionals of the corporate world, who can drive the country’s largest companies to comply with regulations, advocate progressive environmental policies and protect workers from unsafe conditions.
Guaranteed placements
100 percent placement assistance through placement cells, websites, industrial tie ups, campus interviews and references are ensured for MIFSE students.
New Campus
During the month of September, a new campus of MIFSE will be inaugurated at Adyar in September 2017. The upcoming campus will be well equipped with modern facilities.
Online support 24×7
All students will get separate login Ids and passwords. Using these unique passwords students can log on to www.mifse.com and read online text books chapter by chapter and also supplementary course materials.
