UAE: Scholastic award ceremony & ISC UAE Open Literary Competition prize distribution was held at ISC on February 27.
O.RAJAGOPAL, Member of Kerala legislative assembly and former Minister of Railways, Government of India was the guest of honor during the occasion.
78 prizes were distributed in total for different literary competitions. 3 children won ISC Read Fest prizes in commemoration with UAE year of Reading.
31 Scholastic awards were also presented to the children of ISC members’ who scored above 90% marks in their SSLC and 12th grade Exams.
6 Hamdan awardees were honored during the event.
The competition was held on 7th, 8th and 10th of December 2016, in various age groups for children under 18 years in 12 different categories. Over 150 children from all over UAE participated in 31 events in various stages at the ISC premises.
In addition to usual competition events, 5 new events were added this year including Power point Presentation, Read-a-Book, Speed Texting (Memory Test), Poem Recitation (Regional Languages), Poem writing (Regional Languages)
Miss.Sreya Pepsilal received ISC Literary Excellence Award 2016 for her overall performance by the guest of honour O.Rajagopal.
Miss. Snigdha Manoj, Master Apandeep, Sanjana Parig, Miss. Pavani Nandhana Ragunath received multiple prizes and among those in competition for ISC Literary excellence award.
ISC witnessed large number of booklovers to coincide with UAE Year of reading 2016.
Mr. Jayadevan R.V, Literary Secretary of ISC coordinated the entire fest which was inaugurated by the President M. Thomas Varghese .ISC General Secretary, Mr. John P. Varghese, gave necessary guidance to make the fest a resounding success.
Asst.Entertainment Secretary KTP Remesh, Sports Secretary Nissar, Rajeev Maroli and Dileep Nambiar, provided necessary logistic support during the competition.
