Mumbai: Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput is reported to have paid his staff three days before he hung himself in his Bandra home on June 14.
Times Now reported that the actor, according to the police, even told his staff that he will not be able to pay them anymore.
The staff members reportedly replied to the actor’s statement saying that he has taken care of them for so long and that they will manage somehow, grateful that their salaries were paid during the lockdown.
It can be recalled that the actor’s death is being investigated by the Mumbai Police and on Thursday, his rumoured girlfriend, actor Rhea Chakraborty recorded her statement at the Bandra Police Station.
Sushant, the police said, was depressed and was taking medication for the same. The police have been trying to get to the cause behind his depression. The statements of over 10 people have been recorded by the police so far, including Sushant’s family members.
Meanwhile, a criminal complaint was recently filed against eight persons, including Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and producer-director Karan Johar, in a Bihar court in connection with Sushant’s death.
