New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony was a widely watched event on Thursday, May 30 evening. Scores of people were glued to their various preferred screens while many gathered at public places to watch Narendra Modi swear-in as Prime Minister of India for the second consecutive time.
Crowds were formed all over the country and even celebrities were caught up in the rush. Bollywood playback singer Asha Bhosle was one of the people who were stranded due to the “crazy rush” after PM Modi’s oath-taking ceremony. However, she was rescued by actor-turned-politician and BJP MP from Amethi, Smriti Zubin Irani, who made sure she reached home safely.
Taking to Twitter, the singer wrote, “I was stranded in the crazy rush post PM oath ceremony. No one offered to help me except @smritiirani who saw my plight & made sure I reached home safely. She cares & that’s why she won. (sic)”
