Mumbai: Filmmaker Shadab Khan, who is gearing up for the release of “Delhi 47 KM”, says that the forthcoming film is a crime satire which will question law and order in the country.

Shadab Khan was interacting with the media on Friday to promote his film.

Talking about the story line of the film, Khan said: “Basically, I belong to Uttar Pradesh and there are certain regions where I have witnessed prostitution and the business of drugs and illegal weapons and it shocked me. Then I thought of making a film which revolves around that region.

“It’s basically a crime satire. Delhi is the capital of our country and the region we are showing in the film is merely 47 kms away from Delhi….”

When asked whether he is trying to question the system of the country through this film, he said, “Of course, this film raises questions on the system of the country and that’s the whole idea of making it.”

“If a region which is so close to the capital of this country is going through these circumstances then you can imagine the situation of law and order in the interior of the country.”

When asked whom he wants to show this film from the film industry, he says he wants to show it to Anees Bazmee because he has shown interest in the film.

“Apart from him, I want to show it to Kabir Khan as well,” he said.

The film features Rajneesh Dubey, Dolly Tomar and Mustakeem Khan in the lead roles.
