Priya Prakash Varrier, who had created a sensation with her wink and eyebrow game, is all set to debut in Bollywood with director Prasanth Mambully’s Sridevi Bungalow.
The official teaser of the film was released on the internet on Sunday.
Veteran actress Sridevi died last year after accidentally drowning in a bathtub in a Dubai hotel. Priya plays the character of a lonely actress, who dies in a mysterious manner like Sridevi, in the film.
A legal notice has been sent to the makers of the film by Sridevi’s husband, filmmaker Boney Kapoor.
Director of the film Prasanth Mambully has confirmed that a legal notice has been received by Boney Kapoor on an online portal.
“We received a legal notice from Mr. Boney Kapoor last week. And we will face it. My film is a suspense thriller. I told him (Boney Kapoor) that Sridevi is a common name. My film’s character also happens to be an actress. We will face it,” Mambully said.
Priya has neither accepted nor denied whether the film is based on the life of Sridevi. Her father Prakash, too, refused to make any comment and said that it was for director and the producers to address the matter.
