Dharwad: India is not as advance as some other countries when it comes to veterinary care. That doesn’t stop some doctors from doing their best to treat the furry beings. But, unfortunately, like in every profession, there are some that couldn’t literally care less.

A grief-stricken resident of Alnavar town took to protesting the lackadaisical behaviour of the hospital staff at a local veterinarian hospital.

Vinayak Kurubar, a member of the Alnavar town panchayat in the Dharwad district, had taken his Rottweiler – Danny – to the hospital since he had been ill for a while. The hospital staff allegedly did not treat the dog despite the owner’s constant pleas. The dog died on Friday, Feb 2.

Angered by the staff’s negligence, the grief stricken owner took to protesting by singing bhajans in front of the hospital.

Bhajans are usually sung in front of the home of a deceased member before the funeral and is usually done by professionals for a fee. Kurubar hired some of these professionals, placed his deceased dog’s body in front of the doctor’s chamber and began singing bhajans.
