Dharwad : BJP leader and former chief minister Jagadish Shettar has demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah owning moral responsibility for the Congress debacle in Lok Sabha elections.
Speaking to reporters after the declaration of Lok Sabha election results, Shettar said as expected the BJP has registered a win in majority of the constituencies. He said the people have given a befitting rely to the administrative failure of the Siddaramaiah government and it is better if the Chief minister quits owning moral responsibility.
The chief minister had earlier said the Modi wave will not work in the state, Shettar said adding some had even said they will quit the nation if Modi became the prime minister. It is left to their discretion as what they have to do now, Shettar said adding the party’s united efforts have yielded good results.
