Davangere: A retired officer of the revenue department had a shocker of his life, here on Tuesday, April 22, when he had been to a polling booth to cast his vote. His name was not included in the voters’ list.

G Chandraiah, who has served as a government official for about 33 years was saddened to hear this.

He said, “Inspite of serving as a government officer for over three decades and involving in mustering and demustering process during the elections, it was really sad to see that my name was not included in the list.”

Chandraiah said that while his family members’ name was included in the voters’ list, he was the only one to be excluded. He has doubted whether it was intentionally deleted.

Meanwhile, he has condemned this development and has decided to file a Right to Information (RTI) application.
