Davangere: The Proclamation and Inauguration ceremony of Our Lady of Health Minor Basilica will be held on January 15, from 9 am onwards, at Harihar in Davangere district.
The Rosary will take place at 9 am, which will be followed by Solemn Eucharist at 9.30 am. The same will be presided over by Archbishop of Goa, Daman and President of CCBI Dr Filipe Neri Ferrao.
The public reception event to be held at 11 am will have Archbishop of Bangalore Dr Peter Machado presiding over. Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa will be the chief guest along with Archbishop of Goa, Daman and President of CCBI Dr Filipe Neri Ferrao, Chitradurga Muruga Mutt seer Dr. Shivamurthy Murugha Sharanaru and Islamic Preacher from Davangere Moulana BA Ibrahim Sakhafi.
Bishop Emeritus Aloysius Paul D’Souza and Thomas Antony Vazhapilly, Bishops Henry D’Souza, Gerald Isac Lobo, Anthony Swamy, Robert M Miranda, Derek Fernandes, Geevarghese Mar Makarios Kalayil, K A William, Ignatius D’Souza, Davangere Member of Parliament G M Siddesh, Shivamogga Member of Parliament BY Raghavendra and MLA Harihar S Ramappa will be the guests of honor.
