Davangere: Close on the heels of DC Mahantesh Bilagi taking CM’s Political Secretary Renukacharya to task for traveling from one place to another in the district even as complete lockdown has been announced in wake of COVID-19 outbreak, the latter has said that nobody has the right to question him.
As per sources Renukacahrya has been travelling in the district spreading awareness about the Corona Virus and the DC was irked to know that Renukacharya, who was in Honnali had come to Davangere city.
Turning to Mayor Ajay Kumar, the DC had sternly told that former minister should not have been roaming in the region while he should have been confined to his home.
Later responding to the incident, Renukacharya said: “I am an elected representative. Nobody has the right to dictate terms on me. I had been to the local MP’s house to inquire about his health. We maintained distance as we conversed. What is wrong in this,” he questioned adding that he is travelling because he wants to spread awareness about COVID-19.
