Davangere: After the Opposition parties demanded a ban on the Rashtriya Swyamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Bajarang Dal, the state home minister said that there was no chance that this would happen.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, January 23, he said, “I’ve received a lot of requests from the Opposition parties and left-wing organizations to ban the RSS and Bajrang Dal. There is absolutely no scope for banning them, as they have helped several civilians during the floods in Karnataka and the nation on the whole. They moved people to safe zones by putting their own lives at risk. They have done several good deeds.”
Mocking former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy, he said, “HDK speaks on various issues. Sometimes, he himself will not know what he has spoken. I will not react or comment on any of his statements.”
