Davangere: A lawyer from Davangere who was allegedly drunk driving, assaulted two policemen when he was stopped for a breathalyzer test, as was seen in a video recorded by a passing pedestrian on his cellphone. In the video, the advocate was recognised to be Rudrappa.He was seen throwing terracotta objects at the policemen. One of the policemen suffered a deep injury on his forehead and the other was pinned to the floor by an angry Rudrappa.
Chetan Singh Rathore, Davangere Superintendent of Police said that the lawyer was arrested and a case had been registered against him for assaulting officers on duty and drunk driving after confirmed medical reports.
