Ballari: “Every plant that is planted grows. But even after seeing that growth, why don’t the humans grow?” was the thought-provoking question raised by the chief guest Poojya Sri Nijagunaprabhu Thontadarya Swamigalu at the Yuvajanothsava inaugurated in Bellari on October 24. The programme will continue till October 27.
Speaking on the occasion he said that a Christian is an Indian, a Lingayat is an Indian and what is needed in our nation is love.
The Yuvajanothsava was inaugurated by watering a sapling.
President of the Yuvajanothsava, Rt. Rev. Bp Henry D’Souza called on the youth to wake and arise in order to preserve the environment and to improve the land and society.
Among the invited chief guests were Rt. Rev. Bp Geevarghese Bishop of the Puttur Diocese, Rt. Rev. Bp Anthonyswamy Bishop of the Chikmagalur Diocese, Allam Veerbhadrappa, MLC and K C Kondiah, MLC.
Vicar General V. Rev. Fr Anthony Raj P. welcomed the gathering. Deepti compered the programme. Jai Joseph proposed a vote of thanks.
Diocesan directors of 14 dioceses were also present.
