Mangaluru: The Immaculate Conception Church, Urwa, having a rich history of 152 years, will be celebrating the Pompei Shrine feast on December 10. A nine-day novena was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Walter D’Souza on December 1 in anticipation of the feast, at the shrine’s premises.
Rev. Fr. Stany Pereira, Parish Priest, Fr. Johnson Sequeira, Fr. Nelson Pais, asst. parish priests, Francis Saldanha, Vice President, Parish Pastoral Parishad, Lucy D’Souza, Secretary, Parish Pastoral Parishad and the devotees of Our Lady of Pompei, were present at the inaugural ceremony.
