Mangaluru: The President of Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy, Dayanand Kathalsar, said that the government granted fund is not sufficient to provide salaries or honorarium to the teachers who are imparting Tulu and therefore I request all the Tuluvas across the world to contribute their mite to facilitate the cause.
He was speaking after inaugurating the online programme, ‘Tulu Bhashe Bulechilgu Pundi Panavu’ organised by TULU Club House under the aegis of Tulu Sahitya Academy, Karnataka, recently.
He requested the cooperation of the Tuluvas across the world to provide the Academy the needed financial aid. He expressed his desire to build a Tulu Bhavan and Tulu Village at taluk level across Tulu bet of the coastal region.
Sarvotham Shetty, who was present as a guest at the forum, said, “I would like to take on such a responsibility by bringing together all the Tuluvas in the world.”
