Mangaluru: In preparation for the annual feast of Saint Anthony’s, a Triduum was held at St. Milagres Church at 6 PM on June 10.
Fr. Benjamin Pinto, the Parish Priest and Shrine Director of St. Joseph’s Church, Mudipu celebrated the Holy Mass on the first day of Triduum at 6 PM at Milagres Church.
In his message, Fr. Pinto said that sharing resources with those who are in dire need and poverty, is the best offering that one could give to God. He quoted two examples from Bible-Jesus highlighted the copper coin dropped by the widow in the temple treasury as a great offering. She gave away whatever little she had in comparison with the handful of money given by the Pharisees from their abundance. St. Paul too praised the generous donors of the church at Corinth for their large heartedness towards the needy people. St. Anthony lived a life of sharing and service to God, he added.
