Mangaluru: Team B-Human and Mukkachery Friends’ Circle (MFC) in coordination with Indian Red Cross Society organised a free blood donation camp at Tipu Sultan College ground at Ullal here on Tuesday July 20.
Amidst uninterrupted storm and a continous rain, youth enthusiastically took part in the drive and it was possible to collect approximate of 100 units of blood. The collected blood was donated to blood bank of Lady Goschen Hospital of the City.
The founder of Team B – Human Asif Deals donated the blood and inaugurated the programme. Ullal Station Circle Inspector Sandeep G. S. as a guest of honor, detailed on the significance of blood donation and praised MFC for its social work. He also advised the organisers to come up with training sessions for competitive examination like civil services and promised to give his utmost support.
Razak Haji, president of MFC presided over the programme.
Rashid Haji, President of Sayyed Madani Dargah Shareef, Sohail Khandak, State Youth Congress General Secretary, Corporator Muhammad also spoke on significance of blood donation.
