Mangaluru: Bishop of Mangalore, Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza visited Wenlock Hospital, as part of 50th anniversary of St Christopher Association and Good Friday and handed over two wheelchairs to the Pediatric ward of the hospital.
The Bishop said that Good Friday is an important day in every Christian’s life as they commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Special prayers, fasting and various other practices of devotion are associated with this day, but the true spirit of Christianity and life of Jesus Christ is to do something worthwhile for others. He lauded the Association for living by this spirit.
Association office-bearers Susheel Noronha, Wenlock Hospital’s Dr Rajeshwari, Dr Juliana, Dr Balakrishna among others were present.
